Fashion Show Featuring Local Designers

Allison Leigh Apparel
https://www.facebook.com/pages/allison-leigh-apparel/105613089474214Allison Leigh Apparel, created by designer Allison Leigh Jones, is a fiercely independent collection of pieces that are reminiscent of old-school glamour with a bit of a modern and rebellious edge.
Juxtaposition of texture, pattern, and color is constantly at play. Working primarily (but not exclusively) with repurposed and/or vintage and rare materials, these pieces are very unique, often available one-off or in very small runs, thus fulfilling the designer’s belief that all people are individuals and should dress as such as often as possible.Allison has been designing clothes since her early teens, after a life-changing sewing class taught her not only how to stitch, but that she could create her own looks that no one else in the world possessed. After graduating from Southern Illinois University she moved to the bright lights of Chicago, where she held stints as a designer’s assistant and a costume designer, amongst others, all while designing independently for her own labels, Diabolique and Allison Leigh Designs. In 2004, Allison headed west, first stopping off in the Phoenix, AZ area, where she participated in such events as SMoCA nights, Fashion Ball, and Fashion Week 2006. Her work appeared in local publications 944, Java, and Yes magazines. In 2008, she made San Francisco, CA her home and has enjoyed the wonderful reception of her style in a society that embraces the off-beat.Allison Leigh apparel is bold, fresh, and flirty, and never forgets to be fun!
