The party: Opel was born from a desire to fuse the values of the intentional parties of the underground, with the talent and production assets of the overground. It was also designed to be a party infused with consciousness, in which the gathering is a vehicle to build community, plant seeds of hope and social change, and nudge us to look inward to grow and challenge our own pain and fear that prevents us from fully living. So it shall be.
Special Guest Headliners:

Meat Katie (meatkatie.com / Lot 49, UK). Meat Katie, aka Mark Pember has made a name for himself as one of the world's leading DJ / Producers, those who have seen him DJ in the past 5 years will know that it is his diversity and energy that has earned him such respect. His tough, techy style, has seen him headline gigs across the globe, as well as playing alongside an eclectic group of DJs and bands, from techno to break beat and beyond. Not satisfied with being a world class dj producer Mark has found time to set up and run his own taste making record label, Lot 49 (with Dylan Rhymes, whom he also shares studio space with in London). Lot 49 has without a doubt has sustained its reputation as being a taste-making label, with over 25 releases featuring artists such as, Vandal, 30Hz, D Ramirez, Elite Force, Dexter, Jono Fernandez, Lee Coombs, Marco Bailey, James Talk, Alex Metric, Lützenkirchen, Evil 9 and obviously Meat Katie & Dylan Rhymes.

Lee Coombs (www.leecoombs.com) The Opel anniversary will also be a celebration for Lee's upcoming mix release on Lot 49 Records. Bending boundaries and ignoring the status quo – where would the Breakbeat scene be today without Lee Coombs. For over a decade this British producer has been at the forefront of it allfi; releasing groundbreaking mix CDs, remixing the world's most acclaimed artists and knocking out dancefloor destroying productions that are considered classics years after their release. The man has been pioneering future sounding retro tech funk from the early days. Coombs' celebrated DJ sets & tracks are an interwoven blend of acid undertones accompanied by modern breaks with deep influences of electro, house, and treacherous techno. |

Dylan Rhymes (www.dylanrhymes.com / Lot 49, UK) Bio: Dance music has been the biggest part of Rhyme's life from a young age. Inspired by early hip hop and electro a la Kraftwerk and Doug E. Fresh, Marvin purchased his first set of decks at 15 and caught the bug in a bad way. Rhythm Design Studios in Uxbridge became the birthplace of Outsiders, Drake and Beaver’s much-lauded project for Junior Boy's Own Chicago influenced Jus Trax label. Friend, DJ and London mainstay Clive Henry then joined the team and the trio became Peace Division, a project that gained props from every corner of dance music without exception.
Since then he has cemented his reputation as one of the leaders of the breakbeat and tech house scenes through his output through Kingsize Records, Meat Katie's Whole9Yards and Lot49 labels and his own Blue Black imprint. Besides original work, Beaver has also remixed the likes of Deep Dish, Infusion, Dave Gahan, Overseer, Unkle and Puretone while he has collaborated with Meat Katie, Christian J, Force Mass Motion (as Silencer) and Anthony J Gorry (on his 2004 album, Dead Famous). |

Men's Urban Collection is a collection made by hand. Inspiration comes
from the brand "Little Red Sparrow". The focus of this line is classic
looks with minimal eclectic details to bring out an urban, funky look
to men's semi-formal wear, which includes silk and linen vests, wool
and velvet coats. The designer Nika Amy Tang is a graphic artist and
designer, UI, gaming, and software programmer for over ten years. She
incorporates color theory, draping, and mood and character
inspirations into her pieces.
Quote -- "Designing and Creating is my passion and is very natural to
me. Sometimes, I just sit and think of designs as it plays out in my
mind in 3d and slowly the designs comes to life on its own. Its like
an artists facing a blank canvas and the paint just automatically
appears, slowly as each stroke is applied." |

The clock of this life is wound but once,
and no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop.
At late or early hour.
NOW is the only time you own.
Live, love, toil with a will.
Place no faith in time, for the clock may soon be still.
(Poem inspired by a momento given at the False Profit NYE party)
