Started in 1989 on former West Berlin's main avenue Kurfürstendamm, legendary Berlin DJ Dr. Motte rallied together with other exciting techno/house groovers of the time and the LOVE PARADE was born. His idea to promote a "housemusic demonstration" evolved into a demonstration FOR something, namely: tolerance, respect and understanding between nations. Instead of speeches and pamphlets there was music.
For the first time in North America, the world's largest electronic music festival comes to the city best known for Love: our own San Francisco. What better city to host America's first Love Parade?
We think so too....
So of course, Opel, who has stood all along for consciousness in clubbing, for activism in the electronic music community, for a recognition of love and spirit and community in our daily lives, will be part of this party.
Opel is stoked to collaborate with Spundae, one of a few key pioneers of bringing electronic dance music to America on a special float featuring the now famous OT DJ booth, a 26 foot flat bed truck for mobile grooving, and world class music from...
